Welcome to the East Anderson Street/ Cedar Lane Bridge Local Concept Development Study website!

Bergen County is conducting a Local Concept Development (LCD) Study to identify improvement alternatives for the existing East Anderson Street Bridge (Cedar Lane Bridge) over the Hackensack River in the City of Hackensack and the Township of Teaneck.

Originally constructed in 1971, the East Anderson Street Bridge (County Structure No. 23A) is in need of improvements beyond routine maintenance and repairs. The County is conducting this study in conjunction with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) and the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT). This study will look at options including major rehabilitation and bridge replacement

Community involvement is an important part of the LCD process, and we encourage the community and general public to participate and provide input during the study.
